Okay so we all find our favorite workout machine and mine is the cross trainer, my worst is the exercise bike (maybe if there was a basket on the front that dispensed goodies every time you reached 10mins it would work for me). There is a kindly older gentleman who is usually in at the same time as myself and “boy” can he go, he makes me feel very inferior lol I have a very competitive side and I’ve added this to my list of ‘to do’s to be able to go as fast as him….or maybe in a years’ time if I haven’t killed myself in action by then race him although I’d say he will still whip me at it. Hey there I’m Sally, a bit about me a busy mum of three active kids, I’m in my late 30s okay I’ll be honest I’m a year away from 40.Ive never been a size 12 (since I was born), every year the weight goes up and the motivation down, the family photos with me in have got less and less Never one to be conventional I decided after a long consideration to start my new year’s resolution in April to try and lose weight and eat healthier. I started by looking online for quick fads many of which at this stage I’ve done “unsuccessfully” I hasten to add ,and knowing only too well the only real answer was good old hard slog.
Sitting literally munching on this idea for at least two weeks, every magazine article I read screamed at me “I lost four stone in two years”, “get your body ready for summer”, and when trying to get away from them I was faced with the biggest loser and operation transformation on the TV. So up I got and traipsed or should I say drove around town looking to see what was on offer and where. I ended up in the Waterfront swimming pool and leisure centre somewhere I had only visited before to collect kids from during school swimming lessons. Continue reading
